2007-2008 COACHES CERTIFICATION INFO

If you have not attained Level 4 and were last certified during, or prior to, the 2004-05 season, you must recertify this year.

The USA Hockey Coaches Certification requirements are as follows:

MITE - LEVEL 1 (formerly "Initiation")
This is the first clinic required and is a prerequisite for attending Level 2. An on-ice clinic is part of this course. 

SQUIRT - LEVEL 2 (formerly "Associate")
Level 1 is a prerequisite for this clinic
and it is a prerequisite for attending Level 3.

PEE WEE & BANTAM - LEVEL 3 (formerly "Intermediate")
Level 2 is a prerequisite for this clinic
and it is a prerequisite for attending Level 4.

MIDGET - LEVEL 4 (formerly "Advanced")
Level 3 is a prerequisite for this clinic. Pre-registration is required. The registration fee is reimbursed by KYHA.

The USA Hockey Coaches Certification requirements are as follows:
Mite - Level 1
Squirt - Level 2
Pee Wee & Bantam - Level 3
Midget AA - Level 4

If you are currently Level 3 and want/need to recertify at Level 3, you can recertify online: http://www.usahockey.com/usa_hockey/

You may attend, at most, two clinics per season.  If you are not certified and need a Level 3, you must attend Levels 1 & 2 and also obtain a temporary (1 year) Level 3 card: http://www.mohockey.org/coachesmanagers.shtml#tempcard


LEVEL 1 - Level 1 clinics are Sept. 15th & Oct. 6th.
LEVEL 2 - Scheduled for Sept. 16th & Oct. 13th.
LEVEL 3 - Scheduled for Sept. 29th & Oct. 14th.
LEVEL 4 (ADVANCED) -
A Level 4 clinic is scheduled for Nov. 16th through 18th in Chicago, IL. Please contact John Luetkemeyer or Bob Collett before registering for this clinic.

Please verify your status and schedule any required clinics early to avoid being shut out.  When you complete a clinic, please notify Bob Collett to update your KYHA record.  Please include the words "Coaching Certification" in your subject line.
